Sa Tafona in Mallorquín or "Almazara" in Castilian (from Arabic المعصرة, al-ma'ṣara, "the press") is a stone mill that used to rotate with animal traction to crush the olives that were deposited on the stone.

Remembering the past, the antique olive mill "Sa Tafona" will set in motion for you like in former times, with one little change: we won´t use the force of animals. You will experience, how the olives are squeezed and the mill produces the oil in its different intensities ... just as it used to be during harvesting times (in the middle of October and November.)

Savor the "liquid gold" of the Sierra de Tramuntana with us, along with other typical products from the island. We hope you like it.
